Guwahati: City Buses To Be Issued ‘Time Cards’ As Part Of New RTA Rule

GUWAHATI: To prevent excessive traffic in the city and better manage it, the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) has come up with a new rule for city buses to provide them with ‘time cards.’

Based on reports, city buses will now be operational on the roads based on these time cards. A time card will be given to each city bus before they start their journey and no bus will be allowed to overtake another bus. 

The RTA and traffic police have also jointly organised an awareness programme in Khanapara for the implementation of the new rule.
