Talking to GPlus, a passerby said, "We have been facing many issues because of this dustbin. This is a busy street, and people come and go every day. The presence of the dustbin is causing a very smelly situation for those who live here. The garbage emits bad odors, making it difficult for students to pass through this region. There are two institutions here, along with a large hotel, so this street is mostly in use. Hence, the dustbins should be removed."

Tourists staying at nearby hotels have also voiced their concerns.

A tourist who arrived at Ginger Hotel late at night shared his unpleasant experience with GPlus. "I came here late last night around 2 am. I am a tourist and don't know much about this place. When the driver turned the car towards this road, the first thing I saw was the huge dumps of garbage, approximately 50-60 meters straight away. There was no street light, and the smell was pretty bad. It didn't feel good for a moment; I didn't even feel safe. Seeing the hotel board reassured me that the road was correct, but for anyone new to the area, it's not safe. The smell from the garbage even reaches the hotel, detracting from the area's beauty."

The garbage problem is not just an inconvenience; it significantly impacts the daily lives of those who live and work nearby.

Another commuter talking to GPlus, "When they litter this area with garbage, it becomes very difficult for residents and students who pass by. They usually have to cover their faces with a handkerchief because of the bad smell. The government should do something to fix this situation, maybe by creating a separate dumping ground away from colleges and hotels. This would make life easier for everyone."

Local shopkeepers are also facing serious challenges due to the garbage. One shopkeeper explained to GPlus, "We are facing many problems because of the garbage; it can lead to several health issues. It’s very difficult for us as we have a shop here, and we sit here with our kids all day. The smell is horrible throughout the day. The locality includes many offices, hostels, and colleges, and everyone suffers because of the bad smell. It can also lead to health issues."

In response, a senior official from GMC told GPlus, "If people are facing such issues, we will send our team and try to resolve the issue as soon as possible."

Another senior official elaborated, "We understand the concerns of the residents and are planning to build a new transfer station near Panjabari. Once this new station is operational, we will remove the temporary garbage dump currently causing problems."
