Gunotsav To Be Held From January 3 In Assam

GUWAHATI: Gunotsav is set to take place in the state of Assam in three phases starting from January 3, 2024, as stated by the Department of School Education Assam. 

The Education Minister of Assam, Ranoj Pegu, marked this occasion by launching a training program for master trainers in the state from December 4 to December 6. The initiative is part of the broader education efforts in Assam.

The Education Minister inaugurated a three-day training program held at Nedfi House in Guwahati. During the launch, it was announced that the training of master trainers is a crucial step in preparing for the assessment. Once the master trainers complete their training, a subsequent phase will involve training basic evaluators at the district level.

Gunotsav aims to assess and improve the quality of education in the state by implementing a comprehensive evaluation system. The training programs are designed to equip educators and evaluators with the necessary skills and knowledge to ensure the success of this initiative.

Department of School Education Assam took to X to put out, “Gunotsav will be held in the state in three phases from January 3, 2024. On this occasion, Education Minister @ranojpeguassam today launched the training programme of the master trainers organised under the initiative of the entire education, Assam @Samagra_Assam.”

Gunotsav is an initiative of the State Government that focuses mainly on the assessment of learning outcomes of children for identifying learning gaps and subsequently designing remedial measures for improvement.
