The much-anticipated Home Chef of the Year 2024 wrapped up in style, leaving the city buzzing with excitement on December 10. Held as part of the 10th Guwahati Food Awards, the second edition of the competition brought together over 20 passionate home chefs who served up drool-worthy dishes and showcased their culinary talents.
Presented by Magik Cook and in association with Hotel Palacio, the event drew inspiration from the celebrated MasterChef format, providing a platform for Guwahati’s amateur chefs to shine.
The jury panel included Nayanjyoti Saikia, MasterChef India Season 7 winner, Sayantan Chakraborty, Executive Chef at Vivanta Guwahati; Abhishek Bedi Varma, Chef and Co-owner of Lush Café; and Arup Das, Executive Chef at Hotel Palacio.

Participants faced the challenge of preparing a protein and side dish in 60 minutes, along with a pre-prepared carb, which they showcased during the competition.
