GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has issued a notice requesting the occupants of buildings of areas in Guwahati under the GMC to apply for occupancy certificates.
As per the notice, there are a large number of buildings under the GMC, owners of which have not applied for either the occupancy certificate or regularisation of the Compoundable Deviations of their buildings.
“The owners of such buildings are requested to apply for Occupancy Certificate/ regularisation of the Compoundable Deviations of their buildings immediately to avoid legal action,” stated the notice.
The notice also stated that in this connection a special drive is being conducted at the Planning Branch of Guwahati Municipal Corporation, Uzanbazar from today.
