GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) on Monday, November 9, conducted a raid at The Waves Spa and Salon in the Lachit Nagar area of Guwahati. The salon was sealed as the business was being run without any valid trade license.
The raid was conducted by the Health and Enforcement Branch of the GMC. The Corporation has also geared up to nab trade organisations and businesses flaunting GMC rules and by-laws. The GMC will continue to conduct raids in search of such violators across Guwahati.
Earlier, a show-cause notice was also issued to the spa and salon for non-renewal of No Objection Certificate (NOC) and want of proper trade license for the business.
"GMC will be more vigilant against violators of GMC by-laws. We will be conducting regular raids and strict action will be taken against them from now on," GMC Commissioner Devasish Sharma told G Plus.
