GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation, Veterinary Department along with the Food Safety Department conducted a joint survey cum eviction drive for the removal of illegal encroachment and clearance of footpaths at Adabari Bus stop on 13th March.
The operation started from Kamakhya Gate and ended at Jalukbari point, under the supervision of Pallavi Kachari, collector GMC.
"The eviction has been conducted after a complaint was placed against the open selling of illegal meat at a shop at the Kamakhya Gate point," said Kachari.
The Veterinary Department conducted the survey with the help of the enforcement wing of GMC.
