Early bird tickets for the much-awaited seventh edition of the GPlus Guwahati Theatre Festival 2024 are now live.
GPlus Guwahati Theatre Festival 2024 will be held on September 27, 28 & 29 at the Pragjyoti ITA in Machkhowa, Guwahati.
The three-day festival will feature a trio of nationally acclaimed plays, each bringing a unique narrative and emotional depth to the stage.
Opening the festival on September 27 (Friday), we have “Puraane Chawal”, directed by Sumeet Vyas and produced by D for Drama. The play will feature a brilliant cast including Kumud Mishra, Shubhrajyoti Barat, Ghanshyam Lalsa, Anamika, Kirti Soni, Prashant Pandey and Divyendu Saurav.
Set in contemporary Mumbai, playing host to a Hindi adaptation of Neil Simon’s classic, The Sunshine Boys, “Puraane Chawal” is a blend of nostalgia, humour, and drama in a reimagined classic.
On September 28 (Saturday), the stage will come alive with ‘Anything But Love’ is both written and directed by the talented Vikranth Pawar. Starring renowned actors Samir Soni and Mandira Bedi, the play delves into the complexities of relationships, exploring themes of compatibility, trust, respect, mutual understanding, and personal space.
The festival will conclude on September 29 (Sunday) with "Hidden Agendas," a creation of the internationally acclaimed Karla Singh. Featuring some of Bombay's finest talent, including Tannaz Irani, Anu Menon, Dilnaz Irani, Sid Makkar, Gaurav Sharma, Zervaan Bunshah, Varun Narayan, and Renee Sen, this dynamic ensemble piece takes the audience on a rollercoaster of drama and humor. The play revolves around a group of friends who uncover surprising truths about each other during a dinner party when they leave their smartphones open.
Under the discounted prices, Platinum tickets worth ₹3,000 is available at ₹2,500 and Gold Premium tickets worth ₹2,000 is available at ₹1,500. The Gold and Silver tickets are priced at ₹1000 and ₹500 respectively.
