GUWAHATI: The official X account of the President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier was breached by hackers after which the account name was changed to 'Water Resources Department, Government of Bihar'.

"#WRD_Bihar works for creation & restoration of #irrigation potential; construction & maintenance of embankments and undertakes necessary #flood protection work," the account's bio currently reads. The follower count also surged to 60,000 after the hack.
The account was first changed to make it look like the verified handle of Adolf Hitler, the former chief of the Nazi Party, with the account's username was changed to @adolf_gov and the description changed to "Make Germany Great Again."
Following the incident, the account was briefly suspended but later reappeared with its name changed to the Water Resources Department of the Bihar government, while still retaining the handle @FrankWalterGER.
