GUWAHATI: General Upendra Dwivedi has been appointed as the 30th Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army on Sunday, June 30.

He succeeds General Manoj Pande.
Prior to his appointment as the Chief of the Army Staff, Dwivedi served as the Vice Chief of the Indian Army.
