Free training on Modern Bag Making in AGVB-RSETI, Kamrup (M) concluded

The Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Kamrup (M) has completed the 6 day 'Modern Bag Making' training program today on 19th Dec, 2016. This was an intensive training imparted to 25 women of the district who desires to be an entrepreneur in the field of Bag Making, marketing and supply. The training has been conducted under the guidance of Swapna Mahanta, M/S Dishaz Guwahati.   The program was inaugurated on 13th December by Kamal Bhowmik, Regional Manager, Assam Grarnin Vikash Bank, RO, Guvvahati. On the day of Valediction, Siddhartha Bhattacharya, MLA, Gauhati East LAC, Pranati Majumdar, ADC, Kamrup Metropolitan District and Ramkrishna Sarma, Nodal Officer, Assam Gramin Vikash Bank, RSETIs along with other dignitaries were present at the 'function to boost’ the morale of the trainees. Bhattacharya in his speech congratulated the women trainees at first for their courage to break out of the circle of the household errands and appreciated AGVB-RSETI, Kamrup (Metro) for taking bold steps for solving unemployed problems. Bhowmik, urged the trainees to start business right away as with time the trainees might have a tendency to get absorbed again in the day to day tasks. Barnali Sarma, said that this is a very unique kind of training institute with a novel idea of providing escort service to the poor and underprivileged post imparting the best of training possible in 6 days.   D C Nath, Director of the Institute, informed that a total of 2029 unemployed youths from Chandrapur, Dimoria and Rani Block has already been given training since inception and their settlement rate is 67%.
