Four Cybercriminals Arrested By Tamil Nadu Police In Guwahati For ₹3.2 Crore Scam

GUWAHATI: Four individuals were arrested by the Tamil Nadu cybercrime branch in Guwahati on Thursday, November 28, for their involvement in a digital fraud scheme that defrauded a victim of ₹3.2 crore. The suspects were brought to the Pan Bazar police station for safe custody following their arrest.

As per reports, the arrested individuals have been identified as Dhrubajyoti Mazumder (24), Swaraj Pradhan (22), Prashant Giri (20), and Pranjal Hazarika (28). While one of the suspects hails from Guwahati, two others are from Sonitpur, and the fourth is from Sribhumi.

An official from the Pan Bazar police station speaking to GPlus confirmed the arrests, stating, "The four cybercriminals were apprehended by the Tamil Nadu cybercrime branch on Thursday. They were brought here for safe custody and presented in court on Friday."
