GUWAHATI: Liam Payne, the former One Direction star, has died at the age of 31 in Argentina after reportedly falling from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires on Wednesday, October 16.

Police discovered his body following an emergency call in the upscale neighbourhood of Palermo. An investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
According to police statements, officers were initially sent to the hotel due to reports of an aggressive man who could have been under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Upon arrival, officials were informed of a loud noise heard in an interior courtyard, where they subsequently found Payne's body.
Payne gained global fame as a member of the beloved boyband formed on the X Factor TV show in 2010, alongside Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik.
He had a son named Bear (born in 2017) with British TV personality and Girls Aloud singer Cheryl.
