GUWAHATI: Fake gold was seized by the Government Railway Police (GRP) at the Guwahati Railway Station on December 27 along with the apprehension of the three individuals allegedly involved in the smuggling of it.
According to official reports, counterfeit boat-shaped gold of around 1.4 kg was confiscated by the GRP yesterday. The officials immediately seized it and took three individuals involved into custody.

Talking to GPlus, a senior official from the GRP said, “ We confiscated the fake gold being smuggled, yesterday at the Guwahati Station. It was almost 1.3-1.4 kilogram in weight. The apprehended individuals have been identified as Pramod Kumar, Bipin Kumar, and Data Ram.”
Further legal proceedings are underway as details are awaited.
