Dipankar Roy has been appointed as the Editor at GPlus, who assumed charge on April 1, 2024. Roy, a veteran journalist with over 37 years of experience is well versed in the dynamics of the region.

Roy’s inspiring career spans across various newspapers and digital media houses, both national and regional.
Starting his journey after graduating from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata, Roy joined Amrita Bazar Patrika, a Kolkata-based newspaper, in 1987. He moved to Assam in 1990 to help launch The Northeast Times and later contributed to the establishment of The Eastern Clarion published by the Janambhumi Group in Jorhat.
Roy then joined Statesman in Guwahati in 1997 as a Special Representative covering the Northeast, a role he continued until 2004. In 2004, he joined The Telegraph and served as Senior News Coordinator till 2016.
He was also associated with several other publications, including Arunachal Front, Orissa Post, Shillong Times, Outlook and The Meghalayan, among others.
