GUWAHATI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 24 addressed the nation and announced nation wide lockdown for 21 days from midnight.
Along with that, he announced that the central government has made an allocation of Rs 15,000 crore for strengthening the nation's health infrastructure for the treatment of COVID-19 patients. He further mentioned that training of medical and paramedical manpower will also be done.
He then went on to urge the state governments to make health services their first priority at this stage.
