In Delhi, the revised retail price now stands at ₹1,762, as this reduction has been introduced to offer slight relief to businesses such as hotels and restaurants that depend on LPG for daily operations.
As of April 1, the revised 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder prices in key cities are ₹1,762 in Delhi (down from ₹1,803), ₹1,872 in Kolkata (down from ₹1,913), ₹1,714.50 in Mumbai (down from ₹1,755.50), and ₹1,924.50 in Chennai (down from ₹1,965.50).
LPG prices are revised periodically based on global crude oil trends and other economic factors. While commercial LPG rates have seen regular fluctuations, domestic prices have remained stable in recent months. The latest price cut follows a ₹6 increase on March 1, 2024, which itself came after a ₹7 reduction in February.
Over the past two years, commercial LPG prices in India have been unpredictable, due to local taxes and transportation costs.
