GUWAHATI: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has asked the people of the state to light a 'diya' on 14th April at 6 pm.
Tomorrow is the first day of the Assamese new year. On this occasion of 'Manooh Bihu', CM has asked everyone to light an earthen lamp and pray to keep Assam strong and safe from novel coronavirus.
He has requested everyone to do so irrespective of caste, tribe, linguistic and religious difference.
Sonowal also wished the well-being of everyone on the occasion.
