CM Sarbananda Sonowal lays emphasis on rural development

The department of Panchayat & Rural Development had organized an interaction session with the MLAs of the State, at the Assam Administrative Staff College, Khanapara, on Tuesday. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, who was the chief guest of the event, announced some important initiatives for the overall acceleration of the State. Commenting on the issue, CM said, "All the MLAs of the State should be aware of the Govt schemes and its proceedings in details. The Ministers and MLAs should perform their respective duties on time, so that it helps the entire chain to move effectively, and in return help the people of Assam. We have thereby initiated a discussion with the Panchayat and Rural Development department." Sonowal has also announced that to bring clarity in the chain of tasks, a meeting would be held very soon between the  officials of the 56 departments under the State Government.
