Chief Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal on the second day of the mega event, Advantage Assam delivered his speech focusing on the economic ties of Northeast India with ASEAN and BBN nations.
He said that the summit is historic as it would strengthen the ties with ASEAN and BBN countries. “Assam has strong historic relations with South Asian countries and this summit would only strengthen our ties with each other”, said Sonowal at the Advantage Assam Global Investors’ Summit.
The Chief Minister has asked ASEAN countries to set up their consulates in Guwahati. "United we stand divided we fall, so let's unite," said Sarbananda while asking ASEAN and BBN countries to create economic ties with Assam.
