GUWAHATI: The Centre has unveiled an initiative to provide internship opportunities for 1 crore youths over the next five years in the Union Budget 2024 on July 23.

This program will offer placements in 500 top companies, giving participants invaluable exposure to real-life business environments for a duration of 12 months. Interns will receive a monthly allowance of ₹5000, alongside a one-time assistance grant of ₹6000.
Companies participating in this initiative are expected to bear the training costs and contribute 10% of the internship expenses from their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds.
