Cash & Valuables Stolen From Parked Car In Assam’s Kamrup

 

GUWAHATI: A daylight robbery took place at Uparhali in Kamrup, Assam where thieves looted cash and belongings today on December 14.

The incident occurred when Utpal Kalita, a resident of Xoru Tezpur, parked his SUV four-wheeler (registration number AS 01 BE 0202) near the Uparhali market to visit the weekly market.

The robbers smashed the unattended car's window and escaped with the loot. The crime unfolded right in front of the market, falling under the jurisdiction of the Bijoynagar Police Outpost.

Talking to GPlus, a police official from Bijoynagar Outpost, “The thieves looted cash by smashing the vehicle window. The victim also alleged that gold ornaments has also been taken by the thieves that were also in the car. But, we are yet to confirm that.”

Further investigations are now underway.
