Bengaluru Man's 'Porter' Ride To Work Goes Viral After Ola And Uber Fail To Arrive

GUWAHATI: A Bengaluru man’s creative commute has gone viral after he couldn’t find an Ola or Uber ride amid the city’s persistent traffic challenges. On February 6, Pathik shared a picture of himself riding as a pillion passenger on a two-wheeler, driven by a Porter employee. The image, captured through the reflection in the rider’s helmet, was posted on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption: “Had to porter myself to office today because no Ola, Uber.”

Porter, a courier service app typically used for sending goods quickly within the city, became Pathik’s unconventional solution for reaching his destination. His post quickly garnered over 78,000 views and sparked a range of reactions from netizens.

In response to the viral post, Porter embraced the unexpected publicity. They replied to Pathik’s post on X, praising his “problem-solving streak” and calling him a “superhero” for thinking outside the box.
