GUWAHATI: Satyajit Saikia, an assistant engineer at the Barbaruah Development Block in Assam, is suspected to have died by suicide after reportedly jumping from the Bogibeel bridge in Dibrugarh district. His vehicle was found parked on the northern side of the bridge on Monday, November 25, prompting an ongoing search operation.

Speaking to GPlus, an official from the Silapathar police station confirmed the incident, stating, "Satyajit Saikia, an assistant engineer is suspected to have died by suicide. His vehicle was found abandoned on the northern side of the bridge, and a note citing ‘Without Reason’ was recovered. A search operation is currently in progress."
The Silapathar police are currently investigating the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding Saikia’s death.
