GUWAHATI: The Chief Secretary of Assam, Ravi Kota, led a principal meeting with G.D. Tripathi, Principal Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, and Dr. Om Prakash, i/c Director of Land Records and Surveys, Assam on Monday, October 7. The session discussed current revenue sources and strategies to overcome barriers in revenue enhancement.

The discussion involved the examination of the major sources of revenue, that is, land revenue, judicial and non-judicial stamps, and registration fees. The trends of revenue have also been ascertained by month-wise and year-wise comparative analysis.
Important insightful discussion on district-wise revenue collections under land revenue in both the years 2023-24 and 2024-25 was brought forth.
