GUWAHATI: A woman beheaded her husband before turning herself in at the local police station in Mariani, Jorhat on Tuesday, June 25.

The event took place at the Heelikha tea estate in Mariani, where it has been informed that the woman used an axe to behead her husband. The motive behind the act remains unclear. After the incident, the woman went to the police station and surrendered.
Talking to GPlus, a police official from the Mariani Police Station said, “The deceased has been identified as Sujit Rabidas who has been beheaded by his wife. We are investigating the matter further.”
