GUWAHATI: A teenager allegedly raped a differently-abled girl on June 1 in Misamara Tea Estate in Golaghat district, when the victim was alone at her home.
Post incident, the locals of Misamara Tea Estate in Dergaon town under Golaghat district staged a massive protest on Sunday.

According to reports, the differently-abled girl was allegedly raped by a teenager when she was alone at her home and raped her multiple times and fled before her mother reached home.
Meanwhile, the irked locals condemning the act took to the streets, burnt tyres and shouted slogans against the local police for reaching the spot late.
A police team led by Officer-in-charge Prashanta Bora reached the spot and took stock of the situation, however, the accused is currently on the run.
