Assam Police Thwart Border Infiltration, Push Back Three Bangladeshi Nationals

 

GUWAHATI: Assam Police successfully intercepted three Bangladeshi infiltrators near the international border in an operation. The individuals—Masum Khan, Iqbal Hussain, and Mujanur Rehman—were promptly apprehended and sent back across the border to Bangladesh.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma took to X (formerly Twitter), and said, "Maintaining strict vigil along the Indo-Bangladesh border, @assampolice identified 3 Bangladeshi infiltrators near the International border Masum Khan, Iqbal Hussain, Mujanur Rehman They were promptly pushed back to Bangladesh. Good job Team!" 


There has been a tight vigil along the border with Bangladesh after the upheaval in the country last month saw many of its nationals trying to cross over to India fearing for their life.
