Assam Police Seizes Contraband Capsules And Cash In Assam’s South Salmara-Mankachar

 

GUWAHATI: An anti-narcotics operation was launched in Bauskata PWD Road under the jurisdiction of Kalapani police, Mankachar PS, led by the Additional Superintendent of Police (HQ) on Thursday, December 12.

The operation resulted in the seizure of contraband items from two individuals—Manowar Sk (30) and Minnas Ali (38), both hailing from Bengerbhita village, South Salmara Mankachar.

The items confiscated included 576 Tramadol capsules (SAMPEX+), packed in 24 strips, each containing 24 capsules, weighing a total of 476.74 grams and  ₹ 8100 in cash. A two-wheeler and two smart mobile handsets were also seized. 

Further investigation is ongoing.
