Assam Police Reshuffle: Barun Purkayastha Appointed as DCP (Crime) Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The Assam state government has effected another reshuffle in the police department on May 18, 2020.

Barun Purkayastha, IPS, Commandant 1st APBn, Ligiripukhuri, Sivasagar is now transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Guwahati.

Earlier on May 15, Rosie Kalita, APS, Superintendent of Police, (Chief Minister's Special Vigilance Cell) was transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Guwahati. However, the same order is now cancelled.
