Citizens are advised to designate a sober driver, use only fit vehicles, and ensure all passengers wear seat belts and motorcyclists wear helmets. The use of legal passenger vehicles such as private cars, buses, or tempo travellers is strongly recommended. Drivers are encouraged to adhere strictly to traffic rules, maintain speed limits, and ensure that journeys are safe for all road users.

Parking should be done only in designated, safe areas near picnic spots to avoid accidents or inconvenience.

Picnickers should carry essentials such as a first-aid kit, drinking water, and vehicle repair tools. Informing local police stations about the origin and the destination is also advised. Emergency numbers—112 for police and other assistance, and 108 for medical emergencies are provided for assistance.

On the other hand, several prohibitions have been set in place. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. Overcrowding vehicles, playing loud music while driving, and using unfit or old vehicles are also prohibited. Vehicles intended for goods transportation should not be used for passenger transport.

People are also advised to avoid travelling in adverse weather conditions such as heavy fog or rain. Movement should be planned to start after sunrise and return before sunset to minimise risks associated with poor visibility.
