GUWAHATI: The Assam Police Headquarters has taken prompt action against public concerns regarding the imposition of fees for securing No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for religious event permissions. After conducting a thorough review, the authority has decided to completely eliminate charges for NOCs related to Religious event permissions, rendering the service free of cost to applicants.
As part of this initiative, necessary modifications have been implemented in the Seva Setu Portal. This decision ensures that individuals and organisations can freely obtain permission to organise religious events without the burden of additional fees.
By eliminating the financial aspect, Assam Police aims to facilitate a smoother process for religious event organisers while promoting the seamless conduct of such events in the state.
