This decision was announced after a state cabinet meeting that chaired on Monday, December 23.
An internal review exposed the violations by the employees, which go against the scheme's guidelines designed to empower the underprivileged and support the vision of Antyodaya.
Following the review, the authorities have approved initiating departmental proceedings and issuing show-cause notices to the implicated officials to ensure accountability and uphold the scheme's integrity.
In the same cabinet meeting, the state also decided to uphold the upcoming year of 2025 as the ‘Year of Reading.’
