Assam down town University Organises Free Health Camp On Women’s Day

 

Assam down town University (AdtU) on Saturday, March 8, in collaboration with down town Hospitals, organised a free health screening camp focused on women's health and well-being to observe International Women’s Day.

The initiative was jointly conducted by the Faculty of Paramedical Sciences, Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Faculty of Science, and the Outreach Committee.

The health camp, held from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, provided free medical check-ups, including blood pressure measurement, random blood sugar testing, physiotherapy screening, dietary consultations, eye examinations, and hemoglobin tests.

A team of medical professionals, faculty members, and student volunteers from down town Hospitals participated in the initiative, which screened over 100 women.

Organisers highlighted the university’s focus on healthcare, education, and community outreach, while expressing appreciation for the participation, stating that similar initiatives would be undertaken in the future.
