Assam Deputy Speaker Inspects Jal Jeevan Mission Schemes

 

Guwahati: The Deputy Speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly and the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Bokajan Constituency, Numal Momin inspected various Jal Jeevan Mission schemes under Bokajan Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC) on Monday.

Taking to Twitter, MLA Momin wrote, “Inspected various JJM Schemes under Bokajan LAC  today. 1. Total schemes = 359 2. Amount = 246 cr  3. Total household benefit = 43046 4. Already pure drinking water people getting = 10000 household. A great initiative by Honourable PM @narendramodi Ji @himantabiswa.”

He also inspected drinking water facilities under his constituency in the Karbi Anglong district of the state. While speaking to media, Momin promised that more than 30 per cent people of his constituency will have access to pure drinking water within six months.

“Today I inspected various Jal Jeevan Mission schemes with the Public Health Engineering Department officials of the Bokajan Assembly constituency. Works are going on a war footing, and many people are now getting pure drinking water,” Momin said.

“In the next six months, more than 30 per cent of people in my constituency will get pure drinking water,” Momin added.

A total of 359 schemes have been sanctioned with a budget of ₹246 crore in the Bokajan Assembly Constituency. A total number of 43,046 households are expected to benefit from these schemes. The MLA further said that 10,000 households of Bokajan are already receiving pure drinking water.
