GUWAHATI: A Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) party worker was shot dead in Udalguri district of Assam on February 21.
According to reports, the deceased Khairul Haque was shot dead at Bhutiachang along the Mangaldoi-Bhutiachang road.
Haque has been running a tea stall in Bhutiachang area. He was on his way to Bhutiachang chowk when miscreants shot him from a close range.
According to locals, a woman passing through the area noticed the deceased, lying in sitting position and later informed locals and police.
Currently investigation is underway.
