Assam: Body Of A Woman Washes Up Ashore In Bhalukpong

 

GUWAHATI: A decomposed body of a woman washed up ashore at Kameng River, in Bhalukpong, as per first reports sent by an eyewitness present on June 19.

Suranjana Bora, the eyewitness of the incident while talking to G Plus stated, “Today, as we were returning from Tawang, we made a stop at a camping site near the photo-point of Kameng River, about 3-4km from Bhalukpong. While capturing the beauty of the river and the nearby hills with my drone, I noticed something floating in the water. Upon zooming in, I realized it was a lifeless body. To my shock, it turned out to be the body of a woman. I took some close-up shots of the body, which was lodged between rocks. Immediately, I informed the nearest police post in Bhalukpong and also reported the incident to the Chariduar Police Station.”

The Superintendent Of Police, West Kameng while talking to G Plus said, “We received reports of the body being washed up ashore and our team went to the location to further examine. But by the time we reached the location, the body floated away. We have no confirmation about the whereabouts of the body as of yet.”

Further investigations are underway on the incident.
