GUWAHATI: The Assam government approved the manual payment of Khazana on Wednesday, December 11. This decision was announced by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma following a state cabinet meeting.

Taking into account the challenges faced by small and micro landholders with online payment systems, the decision has allotted the legibility of manual receipts, reverting to the previously prevailing system.
Simultaneously, the government has also emphasised the need for reform by continuing the onboarding of Pattadars onto the e-Khazana portal.
