Key Highlights:

1.    Financial Assistance:
•    Each youth club or sports association will receive a grant of ₹15 lakh. This funding is designed to bolster local sports infrastructure and provide necessary sporting equipment.

2.    Infrastructure Development:
•    From the total ₹15 lakh, ₹5 lakh is allocated for infrastructure development, electrification, and other essential enhancements. This portion is flexible and can be utilised as a "flexipool" to meet the unique needs of standalone youth clubs that currently lack adequate facilities.

3.    Sporting Equipment:
•    The remaining ₹10 lakh will be used to procure sporting equipment. The equipment requirements will be determined by a local committee headed by the District Commissioner (DC).
•    All purchases will be managed by the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) to ensure transparency and efficiency.

The selection of youth clubs and sports associations to receive the funds will be overseen by District Committees. These committees will operate under guidelines set forth by the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare.
