GUWAHATI: In a captivating semi-final at the Copa America 2024, Argentina triumphed over Canada with a 2-0 victory, on July 10 securing their place in the title decider.

Julian Alvarez put Argentina on the scoreboard first, netting a goal in the 23rd minute. Lionel Messi doubled the lead early in the second half, marking his first goal of the tournament, which came with a stroke of luck.
Despite their scrappy defensive performance, Canada had a couple of opportunities to score. However, Emiliano Martinez's stellar goalkeeping kept the Canadians at bay, ensuring Argentina's progression to the final with a clean 2-0 win.
Uruguay will play Columbia in the second semifinal of the Copa America 2024 on July 11, and the winner of this clash will play Argentina in the finals on July 15.
