Approval Granted For 12 Projects To Revitalise Rural Road Network Across Assam

 

GUWAHATI: To enhance rural connectivity and infrastructure, the Assam Government, in the State Cabinet Meeting on Monday, granted administrative approval for 12 transformative projects under Asom Mala 2.0. 

This initiative is scheduled to revitalise the rural road network across the state, with a total investment amounting to an impressive ₹1,510.98 crore.

The focus of Asom Mala 2.0 is to address critical gaps in rural infrastructure, facilitating smoother transportation, improving accessibility, and fostering economic development in remote areas.

The approved projects encompass a range of initiatives aimed at upgrading and expanding the rural road network to meet the evolving needs of the local population.
