APDCL: Electricity Bills To Increase From April 2022

 

GUWAHATI: The Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) is increasing tariffs by 8 percent starting April 1 this year. The tariff hike has been passed by the Assam Electricity Regulatory Commission has passes the tariff order for Financial Year 2022-23. 

As per the new tariff card, domestic customers consuming (below 5 kW) consuming up to 120 units per month will have to pay a fixed charge of Rs 60 per kW per month, plus energy charge of Rs 5.30 per kWh. The rate from 120 to 240 units will attract fixed charges at Rs 60 per kW per month fixed Rs 6.60 per kWh. 

For Domestic B (5 kW to 25 kW) customers, revised fixed charges will be Rs 60 per kW per month and energy charge of Rs 7.15 paisa per kWh. 

For consumers availing Jeevan Dhara subsidy, revised fixed charges will be Rs 30 per kW per month and energy charge of Rs 7.65 paisa per kWh. 

Further, domestic consumers in the High Tension category will pay fixed charges at Rs 60 per kW per month and energy charges at Rs 7.20 per kWh. 

The revised tariffs see fixed electricity charges being hiked by Rs 10 per kW per month. Additionally, energy charges have been hiked by 25 to 50 paise per unit across all categories.
