Anjan Dutta Foundation Honours 19 Meritorious Students With Scholarships In Assam

 

GUWAHATI: The Anjan Dutta Foundation (TADF) awarded scholarships to 19 meritorious students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in recognition of their academic excellence and potential.

The awards for 2024  were distributed at a function at Sivasagar Yuva Dal on Wednesday, November 27.

The Anjan Dutta Memorial Academic Scholarship programme, instituted in memory of Late Anjan Dutta, underscores the Foundation’s commitment to empowering Assam’s youth through education, a statement said.

The event also featured the Anjali Dutta Memorial Lecture, delivered by Dr. Jyotirekha Hazarika, Associate Professor, Department of Assamese, J.B. University. Dr. Hazarika’s thought-provoking address centered on the recognition of Assamese as a classical language.

The ceremony was graced by several eminent personalities, including Prema Gogoi, renowned poet, Dr. Sabyasachi Mahanta, Principal of Gargaon College, Smt. Ananya Dutta, Founding Trustee of TADF, and Dr. Angkita Dutta, Managing TADF, among others.

The Anjan Dutta Foundation remains steadfast in its mission to support underprivileged students and uphold Late Anjan Dutta’s vision of fostering progress through education.
