GUWAHATI: Lurinjyoti Gogoi from Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) submitted his nomination papers for the Dibrugarh Lok Sabha constituency, supported by the INDI alliance and other parties.

Accompanied by other party leaders, Gogoi filed his nomination on March 26.

Taking to X Lurinjyoti Gogoi said, "Before going to file my nomination papers, I paid tributes to Aayi and her portrait. Wherever you are, bless us from it, Aai! Being a servant of Mother Assam, I am on my way to the fight for the nation. To fight honestly in this struggle give me strength."

Dibrugarh Lok Sabha constituency is composed of the following assembly segments- Margherita, Digboi, Makum, Tinsukia, Chabua-Lahowal, Dibrugarh, Khowang, Duliajan, Tingkhong and Naharkatia.
The election process in Assam will take place in three phases, starting on April 19. The official notice for the election for the first phase was issued on March 20, and candidates have to submit their papers by March 27. The papers will be checked on March 28, and candidates can withdraw until March 30.
The second phase of the election is on April 26. The notice for this will be out on March 28, and papers have to be filed by April 4. They will be checked on April 5, and candidates can withdraw until April 8.
The final phase of the election is on May 7. The notice for this will come out on April 12, and candidates have until April 19 to file their papers. The papers will be checked on April 20, and candidates can withdraw until April 22.
