GUWAHATI: In an unexpected late night development the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have decided to jointly fight the Lok Sabha 2019 elections in Assam.
BJP northeast in-charge Ram Madhav in a Facebook post stated: The BJP, NPP, NDPP, AGP, and BPF will fight together in Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh with the mission of defeating Congress party at the hustings.
After discussion, BJP and AGP have decided to work together in the coming Parliament election in Assam to defeat Congress. Announced it at Guwahati in the presence of Himanta Biswa Sarma of BJP and Atul Bora and Keshav Mahanta of AGP. BPF will be the 3rd partner in the alliance.
