Advanced Traffic Control System Inaugurated In Tinsukia

 

GUWAHATI: In a recent move, Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs and Irrigation, Assam, Ashok Singhal, inaugurated the state-of-the-art Automatic Traffic Controlling System (ATCS) in Tinsukia today.

Implemented under City Infra Development Fund 2021-22, the Tinsukia ATCS was completed three months ahead of schedule. The ATCS in Tinsukia town includes key locations such as Thana Charali (4 Way), SKF Chinapatty (4 Way), Borguri Tiniali (3 Way), Railway Station Tiniali (3 Way), and Tinkunia (3 Way).

The newly inaugurated system is anticipated to shake up the traffic management in the area, offering optimised traffic flow, significant reduction in congestion, heightened road safety, and an overall enhancement in the commuting experience for Tinsukia's residents.

The inaugural ceremony witnessed the presence of prominent figures, including Assam Cabinet Minister of Tea Tribes Welfare and Labour Welfare Department Sanjoy Kishan, Chairman of Tinsukia Municipal Board Pabitra Gogoi, and Chairman of Tinsukia District Development Authority Kajol Gohain.
