This year's festival promises an unforgettable journey through the rich tapestry of human emotions, showcasing a remarkable line-up of contemporary plays that explore themes ranging from guilt and innocence to the dynamics of human and familial relationships.

The three-day festival will feature a trio of nationally acclaimed plays, each bringing a unique narrative and emotional depth to the stage.

Opening the festival on September 27 (Friday), will be "How I Met Your Father," crafted and directed by Raëll Padamsee, and produced by her ACE Productions. Starring the beloved duo Cyrus Broacha and Kunal Vijayakar, the play is a memoir-like narrative that humorously recounts the numerous accidental encounters between Vijayakar and Broacha's character, culminating in a fateful meeting.

On September 28 (Saturday), the stage will come alive with ‘Anything But Love,’ which is both written and directed by the talented Vikranth Pawar. Starring renowned actors Samir Soni and Mandira Bedi, the play delves into the complexities of relationships, exploring themes of compatibility, trust, respect, mutual understanding, and personal space.

The festival will conclude on September 29 (Sunday) with "Hidden Agendas," a creation of the internationally acclaimed Karla Singh. Featuring some of Bombay's finest talent, including Tannaz Irani, Anu Menon, Dilnaz Irani, Sid Makkar, Gaurav Sharma, Zervaan Bunshah, Varun Narayan, and Renee Sen, this dynamic ensemble piece takes the audience on a rollercoaster of drama and humor. The play revolves around a group of friends who uncover surprising truths about each other during a dinner party when they leave their smartphones open.

Sunit Jain, Publisher of GPlus and Chairman of Guwahati Theatre Festival said, “This year, we have presented a lineup of plays that truly capture the essence of human relationships and stories. The enthusiasm from the people of Guwahati has been overwhelming over the years, and we are hopeful that this year's festival will resonate even more and attract an even larger audience.”
