A spokesperson for the local hospital confirmed that 44 injured individuals had been admitted for treatment. Emergency services are currently working to aid those who have been affected by the blast.

According to the local police, the blast allegedly targeted army personnel from the Infantry School as they prepared to board a Peshawar-bound train.

Following the incident, the senior Superintendent of Police, Muhammad Baloch, revealed that investigations are underway to confirm the details of the attack. "The blast took place inside the railway station when the Peshawar-bound express was about to leave for its destination," he reportedly said.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, but this latest incident follows a string of violent attacks by separatist and Islamist militants across Pakistan. The former had staged multiple strikes in Balochistan back in August, leaving at least 73 dead.
