GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Water Supply Project, supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), opened registrations for residents in 21 District Metered Areas (DMAs) on March 5, to ensure the supply of drinking water.

The areas of the city are DownTown area, Dwarika Nagar, Chachal area, Upper Chachal area, Junaki Path/Rupkonwar Path, Fancy Bazar/Machkhowa, BK Kakati Road/Rehabari, GS Road from Ulubari Chariali to Paltan Bazaar, the left side of GS Road from ASEB Road to Ulubari Chariali, Rupanagar/Birubari, Kharghuli Hill, Hirimbapur, Silpukhuri, Latashil/Barowari, Fancy Bazaar/Panbazaar, Swaraj Nagar Area, Down Town I, Bormotoria II, Hengrabari I, Hengrabari II, and Hengrabari III.

Citizens residing in these areas have been urged to apply for the hassle-free delivery of potable water directly to their homes. To register for the water connection, interested citizens can visit the website www.gmdwsb.in or download the GJB mobile app available on the Google Play Store.
Guwahati Jal Board (GJB) took to X to put out, “Citizens of the mentioned areas are requested to apply for a hassle-free delivery of clean and hygienic drinking water directly to your homes under the JICA assisted Guwahati Water Supply Project.”
