GUWAHATI: A 15-year-old girl was discovered hanging in her home in Karbi Path in the Pator Kuchi area near Basistha.
Talking to GPlus, an official from Basistha police station said, "The young girl was facing some mental health challenges and took this extreme step,” adding that her mother went to the bathroom when the incident took place.
The girl's body has been sent for a post-mortem, police said and further investigation is ongoing.
